coeo in the Wild
coeo is Latin for “come together, flock together, unite.” We’d apologize in advance for the extensive use of bird puns throughout this page, but really the extended metaphor is intentional. We are certainly not out here just winging it or anything…
Where the Flock Landed | Articles & Press
Every once in a while, something we're up to makes it out of our corner of Collegeville and into the wider digital world. This page is where we keep track of it for ourselves: the press, the partnerships, the speaking. Definitely not for SEO purposes or anything. It’s like a virtual refrigerator for our team. You know like when mom hung up that spelling test where you got a 98% and it stayed up there for years and years. Anyone else? No, okay.
→ A Child’s Light Partners with coeo Therapy to Expand Rapid-Response Youth Trauma Care into Montgomery County
October 15, 2026
We’re teaming up with A Child’s Light, a nonprofit that gets youth who have survived severe trauma into care fast, to bring its rapid-response model to Montgomery County. A Child’s Light pays a network of private, trauma-informed therapists directly and covers a child’s first 12 sessions up front, so kids can start in as little as five days instead of waiting months on a subsidized waitlist. We’re proud to be the clinical partner here, bringing relational, whole-person care to local kids and families.

→ coeo Therapy: Business Spotlight, Collegeville Economic Development Corporation
March 11, 2026
The Collegeville Economic Development Corporation put coeo in its Business Spotlight series, with a look at how Kristen and Colleen started the practice, who we work with, and why we think healing doesn’t fit into neat formulas. If you want the short version of what it’s like to work with us, this is a good place to start.
Flock Talks | Speaking, Presentations & Workshops
Talks and workshops for teams and community groups, where we come together and (un)learn.
Humans are humans, no matter the setting. The art of therapy is helping people understand themselves in the context of their story, and we love helping people understand each other too. Our workshops lean way less on the slide deck, way more on the in-the-room experience.

Love What You Do
Managers often feel pressure to make sure their people are having fun and loving what they do. We talked about where that pressure comes from and what it looks like to manage in a way that empowers others, especially when you’re leading artists and creatives. There, the goal is to protect their creativity from the pull of conformity while still making sure the business needs get met.
Work Life Balance (In an Unbalanced World)
Balance looks different for everyone, because everyone works through their own narrative lens. We talked about the stories we carry about work and rest, and why they matter in a world that isn’t built for balance. At coeo, we believe you make sense in the context of your story, so balance starts with knowing what you value and checking whether your life and work actually match.

Addition Through Subtraction: Getting More by Doing Less
At our Lunch and (Un)Learn, we looked at why adding more to a full plate only speeds up burnout. True performance and resilience come from the strategic art of subtraction: clearing away extraneous mental weight so your finite energy can go toward the few things that actually matter. Once that space is cleared, well-being runs outward, toward connection and shared meaning, which is why the session kicked off our work building a community of support at Verge.

Understanding and Advocating for Women’s Health
We covered how medicine has long treated women’s bodies as a minor variation on men’s, which has meant delayed diagnoses, misdiagnoses, and symptoms dismissed as stress or anxiety. Many women adapt by masking, pushing through pain and appearing fine, at the cost of chronic stress, burnout, and conditions like ADHD and autism that go unnoticed. We also talked about how understanding your own patterns makes it easier to describe symptoms clearly and advocate for yourself.

Where the Flock Gathers | Community Events
Ursinus College All Recovery Meeting | Collegeville | Monthly
Once a month, we go to support Ursinus College students at their All Recovery Meeting, which is run by students, for students. Recovery comes in all shapes and sizes, and we want to support individuals, especially those seeking recovery, with the power of community.
Collegeville Halloween Parade | Collegeville | October 2026
The Collegeville Economic Development Corporation (CEDC) puts on the Collegeville Halloween Parade. Our 2026 costume theme: the Savannah Bananas. Like the Bananas, we like to take something established and put our own fun spin on it. They got creative and had fun with baseball, and we like to do the same with therapy.
National Night Out | Upper Merion | October 2026
We spent National Night Out with the Upper Merion Police Department, and the crowd was a good one: future firefighters, a few kid zombies, and plenty of parents. Everyone got to explore different parts of their inner self through a rainbow of sand colors, from the orange fun lover to the purple inner critic. There’s a bit of everything inside all of us, and every part deserves a spotlight.
Stephen’s Rise and Grind | Harleysville | September 2026
We gathered with local mental health providers to raise money for Stephen’s Rise and Grind, a nonprofit that funds mental health treatment. The free, all-ages event had food, games, and a face painter. It’s an incredible initiative, and we were honored to be part of it.
Souderton Third Friday | Souderton | September 2026
We were at Fifth and Main in Souderton for Third Friday, alongside local makers, live music, and other folks doing good work in the community.
Our Flock | Members & Partners
Some other birds of a similar feather with whom we flock. That sounded odd, but leaving it in there because if you’ve made it this far, we would assume there is some part of you that enjoys grammatically correct oddities.
coeo is a proud member of the Perkiomen Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce.
We're proud to sponsor the Collegeville Economic Development Corporation alongside fellow sponsor Community Music School. And in Montgomery County, we're the clinical partner for A Child's Light, a nonprofit that connects youth who have survived severe trauma with care within days.
We also partner with The Other Mother HMS, a professional home organizing service. Good work in a community is rarely done alone, and we like the company.
Where the Flock Nests | About coeo & Media Contact
coeo (it's koy-yoh, and yes, always lowercase) is a trauma-first therapy practice in Collegeville, PA, with virtual care across Pennsylvania. We also do very specialized EMDR and couples work, including EMDR intensives and couples intensives. We were founded by Colleen Valerio and Kristen Czech on a simple belief: given a safe space and the right relationships, people can take risks, challenge themselves, and imagine a different ending to their story. Our philosophy fits in one line. The point isn't to be less broken, but more whole, together.
Looking for support yourself? We offer individual, couples, and family therapy, plus reduced-rate therapy with supervised interns. Book a consultation and we'll help you find the right fit.
Media and press inquiries? Reach us at team@coeocommunity.com or (215) 360-3308. Our logo, headshots, and a short description of coeo are available on request.
Thank you to LMS for our beautiful website and also being great humans to work with, no matter how many edits we request.
