Do you feel like you are always on edge?
Your mind is racing, your chest is tight, and your heart won’t stop pounding. It feels like you’re constantly bracing for something to go wrong—even when everything seems fine. Anxiety doesn’t just impact your thoughts; it affects your body, relationships, and daily life.
We get it. Life doesn't always have to feel like this. Let's get started.
Understanding the Complexities of Living with Anxiety
Anxiety isn’t just worry—it’s a full-body experience that can show up in ways you might not expect. You might feel like you’re constantly walking a tightrope, afraid that one wrong step will send everything crashing down.
Here’s how anxiety might be showing up in your life:
• Physically: Persistent tension, headaches, stomachaches, or exhaustion from being “on high alert” all the time.
• Mentally: Racing thoughts, self-doubt, or an overwhelming sense of dread that you can’t shake.
• Emotionally: Feeling irritable, restless, or like you’re not “enough” no matter how hard you try.
• Relationally: Struggling to express your needs, avoiding social situations, or over-apologizing out of fear of upsetting others.
Have you felt frustrated with yourself, wondering,
“Why can’t I just calm down?!”
Here the thing, anxiety isn’t a choice—it’s a response to stress, fear, or overwhelm. And with the right tools, you can learn to manage and heal.
You’re Not Alone - Anxiety Is More Common Than You Think
According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, anxiety disorders affect 40 million adults in the U.S. every year, and about 8% of children and teenagers also suffer from anxiety.
Anxiety is one of the most common mental health challenges, yet, many people struggle silently, believing they should “just deal with it” or the false narrative that their anxiety isn’t “bad enough” to seek help.
But anxiety doesn’t have to control your life. Whether it’s rooted in past experiences, perfectionism, or simply the pressures of modern living, therapy offers a space to not only develop tools for immediate relief, but uncover the deeper roots for lasting relief.
But anxiety is just part of every-day life, isn't it?
Yes. And, no.
Of course some amount of anxiety is present in your life, you are, after all, a human being. Anxiety in and of itself, isn’t all bad. As therapists, we welcome anxiety and other negative emotions, as they are natural expressions of the part of our brain dedicated to our safety and survival. At the appropriate level, anxiety can be helpfully motivating. However, when anxiety begins to interfere with your ability to navigate daily life, it stops being beneficial. Significant life changes or transitions can often trigger a heightened level of anxiety, disrupting your routines and well-being. We help you connect with the root of your anxiety, learn ways to cope, and ultimately build a better relationship with your anxiety.
Does any of this sound familiar?
You overthink every decision, replaying scenarios in your head until you’re exhausted.
You feel disconnected, like your mind and body are running in different directions.
You avoid situations or conversations because the fear of “what if” is too overwhelming.
Your body feels like it’s stuck in “fight or flight”—tense muscles, restlessness, or difficulty breathing.
Anxiety doesn’t just impact your thoughts; it affects your body, relationships, and daily life. It can make some days feel impossible to get through. But you don’t have to live this way. With the right support, you can break free from the cycle of fear and regain a sense of control.
Our Approach to Anxiety Therapy
Here at coeo, we believe in research and using evidence-based techniques to help you build a life around value and meaning, not one dictated by your anxieties and fears.
Understand More About Your Anxiety
We help you understand how anxiety can impact many areas of your life, be it relationships, work, school, health (just to name a few). And also learn how to recognize some of the signs that anxiety may be running the ship (your ship) in a whole unhelpful way.
Build Up Those Skills
We know if you could just stop feeling anxious, you would have by now. While we can’t promise the anxiety will stop immediately, we will work with you to develop the skills and tools so you can manage your anxiety in a way that feels congruent with your life.
Could There Be More?
Sometimes, you recognize the signs of anxiety and even have the tools to manage it but (gosh darn it) it persists. Anxiety can stem from past trauma or be passed down generations. Childhood experiences can resurface later as anxiety in adulthood. While many factors contribute to anxiety, it’s often just a symptom of something deeper. We’ll help discover the root cause(s) so you can get lasting relief.
The Theoretical Frameworks
Here are some examples of the types of treatment modalities we made use during our sessions: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness and Relaxation Techniques, Somatic Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) and Trauma-Informed Approaches.

Your Anxiety Therapy Questions, Answered
What are the benefits of in-person therapy in Collegeville, Pennsylvania?
There’s something powerful about showing up somewhere that’s entirely yours. Our Collegeville office is your dedicated space for healing, free from laundry piles, Slack notifications, and whoever’s asking what’s for dinner. In-person sessions let us connect more deeply: we notice the subtle shifts in your body language, the energy in the room, and all those unspoken things that matter. Many clients tell us the simple ritual of coming to therapy becomes part of the healing itself, a weekly reminder that you’re worth showing up for.
What are the benefits of virtual therapy across Pennsylvania?
Virtual therapy meets you where you are, literally. Your couch, your parked car, that quiet corner at lunchtime, wherever you feel most grounded. No commute means more time for the work itself, and let’s be honest, sometimes processing big feelings is easier when you’re in your favorite sweatpants. Whether you’re in Pittsburgh or Pottsville, juggling a packed schedule, or simply prefer your own four walls, you’ll get the same trauma-informed, evidence-based care, just with location flexibility that actually fits your life.
Where do you offer therapy services in Pennsylvania?
We’re here for you across the entire Keystone State. You can meet us in person at our Collegeville office (555 2nd Ave Suite C 650, Collegeville, PA 19426), or connect with us virtually from anywhere in Pennsylvania. Wherever you are in your healing journey, and wherever you are geographically, we’ve got you.
Is virtual therapy as effective as in-person therapy?
Short answer? Yes. Longer answer? Research consistently shows virtual therapy is just as effective as in-person sessions for most mental health concerns. At coeo, we bring the same trauma-focused expertise (EMDR, personalized approaches, genuine human connection) to every session, whether we’re meeting screen-to-screen or face-to-face. What truly matters is the relationship we build together and your commitment to the process. Virtual simply gives you flexibility without the trade-offs.
Is it normal to feel nervous before starting therapy?
Completely, totally, 100% normal. Starting therapy takes courage. You’re trusting someone new with tender parts of yourself, and that vulnerability can feel big. Those butterflies? They’re actually a good sign that you’re doing something that matters. Here’s what most people discover: once you settle in and start talking, those nerves soften. We’ve created a judgment-free zone where you can move at your own pace, share what feels right, and know you’re genuinely supported. Your therapist isn’t here to grade you. We’re here to walk alongside you.
Do you offer evening or weekend appointments?
Yes, we offer both evening and weekend appointments to work with your schedule.
We know that finding time for therapy between work, family, and everything else life throws at you can be tough. That’s why our therapists at coeo offer flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, both in-person at our Collegeville office and virtually throughout Pennsylvania.
Availability varies by therapist, so when you reach out, let us know what times work best for you and we’ll do our best to match you with someone whose schedule fits yours.
Getting connected with a therapist shouldn’t add more stress to your life. We’re here to make it as easy as possible.
How much does therapy cost at coeo?
Our therapy rates vary depending on the type of service and therapist you work with. Individual therapy sessions typically range from $150 to $225, while our reduced-rate intern therapy starts at $75. Couples therapy, family therapy, and intensive sessions have different pricing structures. The best way to get accurate pricing information is to reach out to our team at team@coeocommunity.com or fill out our contact form. We’ll talk through your needs and give you clear information about costs, no surprises.
Does coeo accept insurance?
We’re an out-of-network provider, which means we don’t bill insurance companies directly. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t use your insurance benefits. Many of our clients with PPO, POS, or HDHP plans receive significant reimbursement (often 50-80%) for their sessions. We provide you with a superbill (a fancy term for a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Think of it as choosing your therapist first, dealing with insurance second.
