Hi, I’m Kristen—a human with a big story, a leader, therapist, and nurse who believes in creating spaces where people feel seen and safe to heal. With close to two decades of experience, I specialize in helping individuals, couples, and families navigate complex trauma, eating disorders, and relationship challenges. Therapy with me isn’t about fitting into a mold—it’s about embracing your story and finding what works for you.

When I’m not in the therapy room, I love spending time with my 4-year-old son and my partner, who keep me laughing and remind me to embrace the joy in life’s chaos. I enjoy decorating, organizing, spending time outside, and laughing and being silly with the people I love.

Specialties

I specialize in working with clients facing complex trauma and relationship challenges. Together, we’ll dive deep into untangling the impact of past experiences, exploring patterns, and building resilience for the future.

I’m a big dreamer, always seeking new ways to create connection for clients, meet them right where they are, and remind them that healing is possible. Even when you can’t see what healing might look like, I can hold that vision for you and walk alongside you on the journey.

Kristen’s Approach

I use evidence-based approaches like EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), I create individualized strategies for each client. I take a trauma-focused and attachment-based approach to therapy, integrating mind and body for deep, lasting change.

Many have referred to me as a “compassionate challenger,” balancing empathy with the encouragement needed to foster meaningful growth.

“Kristen has truly changed my life! I sought her out for help with an eating disorder after a really bad therapy experience with someone else. Kristen is encouraging, patient, persistent, and extremely extremely good at her job. I credit my recovery largely to her and I would not be where I am today without all of her help and support!”

“Talking to Kristen is like talking to a close friend or family member. The conversations feel very safe and judgement free. I feel that I can speak my mind freely and get great feedback and guidance. Kristen genuinely cares about my growth has such a warm heart.”

“I loved my time with Kristen. She is incredibly compassionate, accepting, and professional. She is especially great at interacting with people that have thoughts and feelings about their thoughts and feelings. The moment I started talking to her for our consultation, I knew she was incredibly aware, intuitive, sensitive, and loving. I've been through a lot of therapists and some personalities just don't work for me, but Kristen did.”
